GOT: Conquest – Troop Types – Offensive Troops vs Defensive Troops

Welcome back ladies and gentlemen, today I want to cover GOT: Conquest – Troop Types – Offensive Troops vs Defensive Troops. I want everyone to understand which troops are best for attacking, and which troops are best for reinforcing and best for defending in Game of Thrones Conquest.

If you’ve read our Troop Type and Philosophy guide (click here if you haven’t) then you understand you should not be sending only 2 or 3 types of troops when you attack an enemy player.

You also should not be sending ONLY offensive units to attack. This is because your defensive units will provide damage absorption for that troop layer. If you send only offensive infantry against archers, the archers will have 3 different damage bonuses to kill your infantry and they will murder your men! If you send offensive infantry with a few thousand defensive shield infantry, you will sustain less overall damage. This is the meaning of troop layer.

Now, enough of the lecturing, here is the chart I am sure you all came to see <3 Please make sure you read our troop type guide from the link above if you have not already, it will give you a basic understanding of what each unit is important for. Thanks for reading!

(We also have a GOT Troop Calculator for figuring out your Troop March Statistics. Check it out by clicking HERE!)

    • We have a battle simulator BETA calculator being released by February 1st! It won’t be 100% accurate because the game keeps it’s battle algorithm as a trade secret, but we will do our best to make a reasonable comparison.
